In February 15th, 2015, “Ratio Malta” signed an agreement, under which the company will look for oil in Malta. Ratio received oil rights in ‘Block 5’, covering 8,800 square kilometers south of the island of Malta.

Eitan Eisenberg, Ratio’s Chief Geologist, said: “after the discovery of Leviathan, I suggested to Rotlevy and Landau families to invest in oil explorations abroad, since the technical and economic conditions there are better than in Israel. My suggestion was accepted”.

“My estimations about abroad were right”, added Eitan Eisenberg. “I found there geological areas which are very promising, even more than in Israel”.
